When Setup Problems Become Support Tickets

A missing first-use step often becomes a ticket. Close the loop in the Smart Guide. Live chat and tickets depend on plan — exact inclusions stay on Pricing.

A setup gap in the guide becoming a support ticket, then a guide fix

Many tickets are not “the product failed.” They are a missing first-use step: which way the hose faces, whether a film must be peeled off, how long to wait before the first cycle. If that sentence is not in the Smart Guide, the customer will ask a person — by chat, ticket, or email — if you offer those channels.

Live chat and support tickets are listed on Silver and Premium. Exact inclusions stay on Pricing. This page is the editorial loop, not a plan table. Explore AI and live support: AI Product Support and Live Service. Configuration help: Business Support.

Spot the pattern

  1. Group tickets or questions by symptom, not by who wrote them. Do not publish customer identity.
  2. If the same setup step appears more than once, it belongs in the official guide — not only in a support reply.
  3. Write it in HTML with safety first, then steps. Use the troubleshooting guide template.
  4. Keep the Smart QR URL. Update the live page using the after-ship process.
  5. AI Product Expert™ should answer from that new copy. If the fact is still missing, it should say so and offer a person. AI answers can be incomplete or incorrect.

What should stay a ticket

  • Injury, smell of burning, or anything a licensed technician must handle
  • A unique serial, a one-off defect, or a claim that needs a human decision
  • Anything outside the published facts

A ticket can still be the right next step. The failure is when every new owner must open one for the same peel-the-film instruction.

Illustration

This is a labelled example, not a ticket transcript and not a screenshot.

Open loop. Five customers ask “why won’t it start?” Support replies “remove the transit bolts.” The Mini Site still never says that. The sixth customer opens the same ticket.

Closed loop. First-use now includes “remove the transit bolts before power.” New scans see it. Odd failures still get a person. You did not promise that tickets go to zero.

How answers should escalate is in AI customer support for physical products. Tickets and chat transcripts stay private — they are not listed in public HTML, schema, or sitemaps.
